Please join me in congratulating the class of 2021, who truly earned a degree from the school of hard knocks this last year! I am proud to present @umassdcvpa’s 2021 final exhibition, featuring work from the Illustration senior students I worked with, along with those graduating from Graphic Design and a few from Animation + Game Art. Somehow the students managed to make amazing work this year in the face of everything. I have been impressed by the quality of their work and the way they never gave up.
I finally met a few of my students for the first time this week after being remote all year after months of zoom lectures! It was tough at times to tell how much of a difference any of it made to all the silent little pixel faces, but it all feels worth it now. I plan to post a few student spotlights in my Stories.
